What is Preferred Shipping?
Preferred Shipping is an exclusive, invitation-only program for a select group of trade 1st members. For an annual fee of $500, participants will receive free shipping on all U.S. domestic parcel orders for one year.
How do I sign up for Preferred Shipping?
Within 60 days of receiving your invitation, you must confirm your interest in the program. You will receive an email confirmation, in which we will seek your approval to charge the primary credit card linked to your buyer account. Once the charge is processed, a follow-up email will be sent with your promotional code, which can be applied at checkout for $0 shipping.
What are the benefits of joining?
Members of Preferred Shipping will receive free U.S. domestic parcel shipping for all purchases during their annual membership, making it easier and more cost-effective to source on 1stDibs for all of your project needs.
How much does the membership cost, and how long does it last?
Membership for Preferred Shipping costs $500 annually.
Who is eligible to join the program?
Preferred Shipping is an invitation-only program for eligible U.S.-based trade members. Check your email invitation to confirm your eligibility.
Shipping Coverage and Limitations
What types of orders are covered by the program?
To qualify for this program, items must be located within the U.S., shipping to a U.S destination, meet the dimension requirements for parcel transportation and have standard parcel listed as the shipping method on 1stDibs.
Are international orders included?
Items outside of the continental US do not qualify.
Activation & Usage
When does enrollment start?
Your subscription will be active once payment has been successfully processed and you receive your confirmation email with a promo code to use on eligible purchases. This can take 1-2 business days, but you will receive a full 12 months' worth of use beginning on the 1st of the following month
How do I know if an item qualifies for preferred shipping?
You can see shipping details and a quote under the Buy Now button and again in the shipping and returns section of any item page. You can click to reveal more details. The quote you see on the item page reflects the standard cost of shipping to your zip code. Once you enter your promo code during checkout, the shipping cost will be removed.
Will I see free shipping automatically applied at checkout?
You will need to enter the promo code into the order to see free shipping updated on your order.
Can I use other promo codes if I’m placing an order using my preferred shipping promo code?
No, your preferred shipping code can not be used with any other promo codes.
Cancellations, Refunds & Renewals
Can I cancel my subscription and get a refund?
Once subscribed, you cannot cancel your subscription for a refund.
Will my Preferred Shipping subscription auto-renew?
No, this subscription will not auto-renew. We will reach out with more information about options for renewing your subscription as your annual subscription end date approaches.
Other Considerations
Can I share my Preferred Shipping promo code with someone else?
Once your firm is enrolled in Preferred Shipping, the promo code can be used by any registered users on your 1stDibs account. For assistance adding more users to your account, please email trademarketing@1stdibs.com
What if my shipping plans change?
If your shipping destination or method changes after placing your order, making it ineligible for preferred shipping, 1stDibs reserves the right to charge you for the new cost of shipping.
Can I change the shipping address on a qualifying order?
Should you need to amend an order after it has been confirmed, please contact our support team. We can cancel the original order, and resubmit it with the updated shipping address.
Does this apply to both Trade and non-Trade buyers?
Participation in preferred shipping is exclusive to Trade 1st buyers on an invitation-only basis.
What happens if there is a return order?
Standard Trade 1st return terms and conditions apply when returning an order.
