Email Notifications about New Sign-in

In a continuous effort to safeguard your account data, 1stDibs will notify you whenever your account is accessed from a new device or from an unrecognized browser.

New Login Email Notification

As of 2020, we began logging your trusted devices and browsers so that we can alert you to any unusual account activity. Because of this, you may receive a notification the first time you log into 1stDibs from a new device. You may also see this email appear the first time you log in after clearing your cookies or browser cache, or any time you browse using a Private Browsing or "Incognito" window. Be sure to check the device or browser name and login location in the email to confirm that you received the notification as a result of your login.

The Approximate Location listed in this email notification is based on IP address and may not match the actual location of the device or browser.

Keep your Account Secure

“What if the notification email was not caused by my login?”

If you believe that the unfamiliar sign-in notification was not the result of your own login activity:

  1. Click “reset your password.”
  2. You will be asked to reset your password to secure your account. We encourage you to use a unique password that has not previously been used on 1stDibs or any other website.
  3. You may also need to log in again using your new password.

Is this email legitimate?

All 1stDibs emails are sent from the 1stdibs.com domain (the part of the address after the @ symbol). The new login email notification, specifically, is sent from “donotreply@1stdibs.com.” If you received an email that purports to be sent from 1stDibs but does not match this email domain, please contact our support team immediately.
